Over the years, we have searched for outstanding children’s books featuring characters with disabilities. The character with the disability doesn’t need to be the main subject of the book, nor should the focus to be on their disability. We are simply looking for interesting stories including people with different abilities in the cast of characters. As in life, they should be represented in a fair and equitable way...treated with kindness and enjoying genuine friendships, and all life has to offer.
